A Positive Summary of the Frankfurt Techtextil 2017

From May 9th till May 12th our customers had the opportunity to closely look at and learn about our state of the art developments. Solutions conceived to meet the high demands of research institutes, on the one hand, and to comply with the requirements of the textile industry looking for flexible production processes, on the other hand.

We were particularly pleased that we could attract an increasing number of top quality visitors.

2 narrow fabric shuttle looms were the highlight on our stand. One machine type made to produce light and medium weight fabrics for medical applications and one type made to weave heavier technical articles. Both machines are equipped with a single weaving station for flexible production processes. Utmost importance was attached to the capital cost ratio of the machines with regard to the range of functions needed for today’s technical requirements demanded by our customers.

We would like to thank in particular the ITM (Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology) of the Technical University (TU) of Dresden for the joint development of an automatic shuttle changing system having been displayed on the stand of the TU. This system can be applied on the major part of the MAGEBA shuttle looms, and allows for an automatic change of the empty weft spools. The advantage being that the machine stop frequency and the manual interventions by the operator staff can be dramatically reduced. Especially when working with very thick weft threads at short lengths per spool (such as carbon rovings) this turns out to be an important economic aspect and a major step forward towards process optimization in the field of shuttle loom weaving.

Thank you for having visited us. We look forward to welcoming you during next Techtextil in May 2019.
